- I'm going to visit a conference in Baltimore May 16-20. (Stouffer Harborplace
- Hotel). As an active radioamateur I would very much appreciate to get in
- contact with some local hams from in Baltimore or to get some information
- regarding good shops for radio equipment.
- I have no permit or rig to operate on 2 meter over there so please reply on
- E-mail to: martin@envmed.gu.se, SM6EHL Martin in Gothenburg - Sweden

- Howdy...
-
- I've just aquired a PRC-47 military radio set and was wondering if
- anyone out there in net-kingdom might have any helpful hints or any other
- info about this set...personal experiences and advice would be really
- nice.....
- I've also been told that there is a mechanical filter available for
- this set to allow LSB transmission...if anyone knows of the source for
- these (I was told they were about $25.00 USD...), please let me know that
- as well.....
- For those that do not know what this radio is, it is a fairly
- large, cumbersomb, manpack (45#?!), military field radio. It covers
- 2-11.999 MHz and has cw/fsk and USB capability (no lsb...the military
- doesn't like to put lsb on most all their radios.....regardless of
- frequency.....) It was primarily intended for mobile or portable use...
- Please e-mail responses as I don't always seem to get all the news
- that goes through the net.....
- Thanks in advance! 73!
